What is coaching?
ADHD coaching is a collaborative partnership that helps you understand how your brain works — and how to use that knowledge to improve daily life. Through structured, high-quality conversations we focus on developing awareness, skills, and mindset — the tools needed to manage attention, emotions, and motivation more effectively across work, study, relationships, and family life.

Evidence from the Australian ADHD Clinical Practice Guideline (AADPA, 2022) highlights the evidence for ADHD coaching in managing symptoms. The ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA) and International Coaching Federation (ICF) describe ADHD coaching as an empowering, client-centred process that combines education about ADHD with practical strategies to translate insight into action. In this way, coaching supports both physical and mental wellbeing, helping bring brain, body, and mind into balance — so you can live with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Coaching;
As a coach I do not assess, diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Coaching can not replace a medical doctor or psychologist but instead complements the work of clinicians by providing collaborative support to help you implement lasting change.
Dr Barbara is a member of the International Coaching Federation and her practice aligns with ICF ethics and standards.

Why It Matters
Scientific research tells us that the mind and body are deeply connected. Gut health, brain function, and emotional wellbeing are all part of the same system. When something is off- whether it’s anxiety, pain, sleep disruption, or behavioural challenges—it can ripple through our whole world impacting our health, work, relationships and success. Dr Barbara draws on her clinical, leadership and coaching knowledge to connect with her clients and families, personalising complex science into practical, everyday tools that make sense for her clients.
How Coaching Helps
Coaching isn’t about “fixing” people—it’s about helping them feel seen, understood, and supported. With warmth and clarity, Barbara works alongside clients to: unpack the gut-brain-emotion connection, explore stress triggers and behavioural patterns, build practical skills for emotional regulation and resilience, navigate life changes like ADHD diagnosis, anxiety, or school transitions and design supports that foster calm, confidence, and connection.
Coaching sessions are client and family-centred, strengths-based, and grounded in real-life application—not just theory. Whether you’re managing a complex health condition, navigating a new diagnosis for yourself or your child, or simply seeking more balance and clarity, this work helps you build insight and momentum.
